A contribution to Medieval pathological gynaecology

Abstract


We present an object found in the pelvic cavity of the skeleton of a mature woman discovered in the archaeological excavation of a medieval Muslim cemetery in Granada (Spain). The features of this object lead us to conclude that it is a calcified nodule of uterine myoma.
