A case of probable pulmonary osteoarthropathy from the Polish Medieval cemetery of Czarna Wielka, Disctrict of Grodzisk

Abstract


This report describes an adult male skeleton with extensive periostitis localized mainly on the forearm and on bones of the lowerleg. The macroscopic and radiologic picture of these changes are typical of pulmonary osteoarthropathy. This specimen is a rare case in paelopathology.
